Breath Express
The Breath Express, the American Lung Association's new signature lung health program, is a high-tech interactive integration of tobacco control, environmental health and asthma education. One of the only programs of its kind in the nation, the Breath Express is a total learning experience that travels to schools and communities throughout the state. The interior includes state-of-the-art exhibits that teach children about the dangers of smoking, the effects of secondhand smoke, the importance of good air quality and how all this impacts those with asthma.
The exterior provides a unique graphic design that doubles as a moving billboard when it is on the road and as a learning experience when students are waiting to board.
Exhibits can enhance health, anti-tobacco and environmental education programs. Complementary materials, including pre- and post-visit surveys will be provided.

Freedom From Smoking Facilitator Training
Health professionals, educators, and others are eligible to be trained as Freedom From Smoking facilitators. Training includes: nuts and bolts of the clinic, facts and figures on smoking, how to manage a group and more. Once trained, facilitators are able to conduct a Freedom From Smoking clinic at their place of work or on a freelance basis through the American Lung Association. Trainings will be held at various locations throughout the year.

Radon Education/Home Test Kits
Radon is an invisible and odorless gas that can enter homes through cracks in the basement floor or from well water.
- Prolonged exposure to radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer after smoking.
- Only one in five homes has a radon problem. But the only way to know if your home is free of radon is to test it.
The American Lung Association of New Hampshire is offering a Radon Test Kit and Information Packet for $12.00. This includes postage and handling.
To order a kit, or for additional information, click here or call 1-800-LUNG USA.
Additional information on radon may be obtained from the national website of the American Lung Association at www.lungusa.org. Then choose "AIR QUALITY" from the menu. Or you may access the United States Environmental Protection Agency's radon information directly at www.epa.gov/iaq/radon/index.html.
